Approximately a year and a half ago we were a company with 6 full-time employees. We wanted to recruit new employees and grow our team in order to be able to meet the needs of our clients. In trying to recruit new employees, the topic of a benefits plan was a routine question during the employee interview process. It seemed that almost all candidates were looking to work for a company that had a benefits package. As a company that didn't have a benefits plan to offer, it often felt as if it was a deterrent to the potential candidates.

We decided that we needed to address this by trying to provide a benefits plan for our employees. As a company that specializes in project and construction management, understanding benefits plans was definitely not our area of expertise!
